Talk Around It

Get your team to guess the word at the top without using any of the words underneath it.

What you need

• The cards
• A one-minute timer (a phone works)
• Paper for keeping score

How to play

1. Split into two teams. One player draws cards and describes the word at the top to their team without saying it, or any word in the “Don't say” list.
2. Each correct guess scores a point. Then draw the next card.
3. No gestures, no rhymes, no spelling. Saying a forbidden word skips the card and gives a point to the other team.
4. When the minute is up, the other team plays. Most points when the cards run out wins.

Make it easier or harder

• Easier: allow gestures.
• Harder: add a word of your own to every “Don't say” list.
