The 7 humor types: which one are you?
Most people's sense of humor leans toward one or two styles. The Meme Taste Test measures seven, by how often you laugh at memes in each style. Here's what each type says about you.
Find your humor type
The Surrealist
Laughs hardest at: absurd humor. The weirder, the better. You'd happily watch a nature documentary narrated by a goose.
18 of the 50 memes in the test lean this way. One of them:
Nobody:
Absolutely no one:
Me at 2 a.m.: wondering whether a hot dog is a sandwich
The Golden Retriever
Laughs hardest at: wholesome humor. Kindness, pets and grandparents learning emojis get you every time. Your memes make people's day.
9 of the 50 memes in the test lean this way. One of them:
Dog update: he saw a leaf. He chased the leaf. He caught the leaf. He is now the proudest being on Earth.
The Deadpan

15 of the 50 memes in the test lean this way. One of them:
Love when a website asks if I'm a robot. Buddy, on Mondays I'm barely a person.
The Gallows Comic

7 of the 50 memes in the test lean this way. One of them:
The Nerd Sniper
Laughs hardest at: nerdy humor. If a joke needs a footnote, you're in. Bonus points for code, grammar or science.
8 of the 50 memes in the test lean this way. One of them:
Programmer's guide to cooking. Step 1: it worked on my stove.
The Pun Lord

5 of the 50 memes in the test lean this way. One of them:
I opened a bakery for introverts. It's called Bread Alone.
The Group Chat Hero
Laughs hardest at: relatable humor. If it happened to everyone, you've already sent it to the group chat with “literally me.”
25 of the 50 memes in the test lean this way. One of them:
Me: I'll go to bed early tonight.
Also me at 4 a.m.: halfway through a documentary about deep-sea crabs
How the type is chosen
For each style, the test counts how many of its memes made you laugh, smoothed so a style with only a few memes can't win on one lucky swipe: (laughs + 1) ÷ (memes + 2). Your type is the style with the highest rate; your second-highest is your “side”. Comparing with a friend combines how often you agreed (both laughed or both passed) with how much your laughs overlap.
