Grow-Up Reel

Grow-Up Reel › Baby's first year video

Your baby's first year, month by month.

Add a photo or two from every month. Add the birthday and each photo gets its age: Newborn, 1 month, 2 months, all the way to 1 year. The faces line up and melt from one month into the next.

Add your baby's photos from the first year

One or two clear face photos per month works best.

Your photos stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and there's no account.

It finds where faces are in these photos so it can line up the eyes. It doesn't recognize who anyone is, and the photos are never uploaded or saved by this site.

Photo

How to make it

  1. Choose 12 to 30 photos: at least one per month where the face is clear and close to the camera.
  2. Add them here. The photos sort themselves by the date they were taken.
  3. Under Captions pick Age and enter the birthday. Ages under two years are shown in months.
  4. Pick Music box or Warm piano, then Make my reel.

Getting the photos right

  • Newborn photos: babies' faces are small and often turned away. If no face is found, open the photo and tap the two eyes; the tool lines it up from your taps.
  • Someone holding the baby: the biggest face is picked first, which may be the parent. Tap the photo and tap the baby's face.
  • Monthly milestone photos: if you took one every month on the same blanket, use those. They line up beautifully.
  • Wrong dates: photos sent over WhatsApp or other messaging apps lose their original date. Set it in the photo's panel.

Keep it private if you prefer: download the video and send it to family directly. Nothing is kept on this site. See the full month-by-month guide.

Questions

How are the month captions worked out?

From the birthday you enter and the date each photo was taken: whole months under two years ("7 months"), then years ("Age 2"). A photo taken before the birthday gets no caption.

Is it safe to use photos of my baby?

The photos never leave your device: they are read, aligned and turned into a video inside your browser tab, and nothing is uploaded or stored by this site. Where the video goes afterwards is up to you.

Can I add music?

Yes. The built-in tracks (Music box, Warm piano, Ambient, Upbeat) are generated on your device, or you can add a song file of your own.
