About
An automated, neutral tracker of whether independent candidates can win seats in Congress, and of how often sitting members vote with their party.
What it is
Pages are generated from public data by a scheduled job and published on GitHub Pages. No one edits the numbers by hand. The code, the data snapshots and the full history of every change are public.
What it is not
- Not affiliated with any candidate, campaign, party, PAC (including Independents Win PAC), the Independent National Convention, Kalshi or Polymarket.
- Not an endorsement of anyone, and not a solicitation to donate, trade or vote.
- Not financial advice. Prediction-market prices are shown as public information.
Corrections
Open an issue in the repository with the page and the source that shows the error. Data errors at the source (FEC, Voteview, the markets) are fixed when the source fixes them.
Privacy
No cookies, no accounts, no tracking pixels. If site analytics are switched on, they are cookieless (GoatCounter) and count page views and a few button clicks only.
Licenses and credits
Code: MIT. Derived FEC and roll-call data: public domain (CC0), with credit requested to the FEC, Voteview and the congress-legislators project. Market prices are the platforms' data, shown with attribution and links; please use their APIs and terms for any reuse.
